Scope of Project:
Replace South 29th Street Bridge over an active railroad.


The performed work consisted of demolition and removal of an existing structure.   New bridge construction followed involving pile driving, steel reinforcement, precast beam erection, sub/superstructure concrete masonry, and a decorative parapet.  Additional finishing work included grading, base course, concrete pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, erosion control, landscaping and electrical runs crossing the bridge.  Coordination of inspectors and subcontractors was maintained, and all incidental items were executed as necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans, proposal, and contract.

All services were completed on time and within budget to the satisfaction of the Owner.  In addition, our team proposed and performed a cost reduction incentive which included a design build alternative that reduced project costs $300,000-$350,000.
